Our mission is simple. We are here to provide the most modern and comprehensive dental service in order to meet our patients' functional and aesthetic needs. Your comfort is our priority and we strive to make your visit as pleasant as possible.
J. Ross Stooksberry, DDS
Dr. Stooksberry is a native Texan who grew up in Collin County and resides in McKinney. He graduated from Farmersville High School in 1989 and received his BS in Zoology from Texas A&M in 1993. While at Texas A&M, he lettered for four years in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Cross Country, running distances of 800 to 10,000 meters. He then entered Baylor College of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 1998 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After five years with an established dental practice in Allen, Dr. Stooksberry opened his Wylie practice in July of 2003.

With the experience and wisdom gained over the years, Dr. Stooksberry opened his practice close to home to provide dental care the way he was taught: to give his patients quality. Dentistry is not a product, it is a service, and he is committed to providing quality service to all his patients. Dr. Stooksberry was honored in 2008 to be awarded “The Best Dentist in Wylie.”
In his free time, Dr. Stooksberry enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including softball, golf, snowboarding, and riding sportbikes. He has a passion for volunteering overseas, and decided in 2010 to make it a part of his life. He commits a month at a time, and has a goal of giving full time in the future. Michael W. Melton, DDS
Born and raised in Allen, TX, Dr. Melton attended the University of Texas at Dallas, before continuing his education with the Baylor College of Dentistry. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Melton previously worked at a private practice in Allen, before moving on to a children’s practice in Garland, TX, where he stayed for two years. He has been working part-time since September of 2011, and is currently establishing his own practice in Frisco, TX.
When not at work, he enjoys sports, including softball and basketball, as well as reading American History. He is engaged to be married in April, and with his fiancée Kim, they have one son, Cody.

Julie Johnson, Front Office Coordinator Julie is our office manager and has been with us since 2006. She has an associate’s degree in dental assisting and appreciates the opportunity she has everyday to help others have sensational smiles. Seeing a patient find renewed confidence and joy is what drives her. Julie is married and has one son. She lives with her family in Blue Ridge, and she enjoys wakeboarding, fishing, and going to her husband’s rodeos. |

Sandra Kapp, Clinical Assistant Sandra has been in dentistry for over 13 years. She taught Dental Careers for three years as a bilingual instructor before joining our team. As a clinical assistant, she works chairside with Dr. Stooksberry to help patients feel calm and well cared for during dental procedures. She loves the hands-on approach our team takes with patients and loves seeing people leave our Wylie office with a big, beautiful smile. After hours, Sandra likes to play softball or go fishing. She also enjoys cheering on her three daughters, whether they’re playing volleyball, basketball, or any other sport. She lives with her husband and daughters in Wylie. |

Sarah Cobb, Dental Hygienist Sarah earned her bachelor of science in biology from Tarleton State University in 2004 and her bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2007. She has been with our team since graduation, and has a passion for making a difference in our patients’ oral health. Sarah and her husband have lived in Wylie since 2006. When she isn’t helping our patients maintain healthy smiles, Sarah enjoys fishing, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. |

Candace Davis, Clinical Assistant Candace has been a registered dental assistant with our Wylie dental office since 2010 but has a total of eight years of experience in the dental industry. Her caring, detail-oriented personality ensures that our patients’ dental health and comfort remain her central focus. She lives with her loving husband and two daughters in Quinlan, and when she’s not spending quality time with the she loves playing tennis, reading, crafting, and volunteering with her church.

Lisa Swinney, Dental Hygienist Hailing from Garland, TX, Lisa is a dental hygienist with the practice. With a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry, Lisa has been with the practice since September of 2011. At her job, Lisa loves building special relationships with her patients, and loves that the practice makes a point to truly know every patient that comes through the doors. She loves helping every patient on their path to improve their overall dental health. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys giving back, as helping people is her biggest passion. She satisfies this in medical mission trips to Africa and the Dominican Republic. She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her fiancé, whom she is looking forward to marrying in July of 2012. |

Caroline McKee, Clinical Assistant Caroline has been with our office since 2011 and is currently finishing up her high school diploma. Like the rest of our team, she believes in going above and beyond what’s required to deliver great service. When she’s not helping us create dazzling smiles for our patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and enjoying the outdoors. She lives with her family in Blue Ridge. |
